Much has been made about “Business Acumen’ and the need for the next President to possess it in order to successfully impact our economy. The assumption has been, this talent is reserved only for those in the business world, but based on the definition of ‘Acumen’ and ‘Business Acumen’ it is a crucial trait for any leader to be successful. So, let’s debate about the debate of Business Acumen. Chose this question for the debate October 9, so we can hear each candidate defend their position on their successes in this area, or how the possession of this trait will manifest itself in the Presidency.
The Oxford English Dictionary defines Acumen as “the ability to make good judgments and quick decisions. Business Acumen is keenness and quickness in understanding and dealing with a business situation in a manner that is likely to lead to a good outcome.[1]
