Everyday people have power. The outpouring of calls jamming the local state legislators phone lines made an impact. The result, no deal on repeal of Affordable Care Act (ACA), known as ObamaCare. Ultimately the citizens were the deciding vote, responsible for yet another failed attempt to eradicate ACA. On March 24, 2017, the 216 bi-partisan votes required to pass the GOP ‘American Health Care Act (AHCA)’ was not reached. Result, ‘No Deal On Repeal’. CNN reported, ‘ Sens. John McCain, Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins joined with Democrats to oppose the measure’ in a late night vote. This rejection of the revised version of the Republican health plan, dubbed on social media as the ‘Skinny Repeal’, was too light weight to hold water with Republican legislators putting people before politics.

Republicans may be the majority in the Trump Administration, but the people have proven, they hold the power. With one push of a button in 2018 Mid-term Elections, they can oust their current political representation. A fact that apparently, has not gone unnoticed by certain members of the GOP. And so for now, ObamaCare continues to be America’s Health Care Plan.
