NORTH CAROLINA ELECTIONS | MATT NEWTON WINS RUN-OFF FOR CHARLOTTE CITY COUNCIL DIST 5

Highlighting one of the big winners of North Carolina’s Municipal Elections held Tuesday October 10, 2017. Former Mecklenburg County Democratic Chair, Matt Newton handily wins Charlotte Run-Off Elections seizing the Charlotte City Council District 5 Nomination against party opponent, Darrell Bonapart with an unmistakable victory, devouring 57% of the vote to Bonapart’s 43%. Confirming, anything can happen in a political race and as such Candidate, Matt Newton did not leave anything to chance.

After trailing his Democratic opponent Darrell Bonapart, who held 35% of the votes, to Matt’s 28% of the vote in Charlotte Elections held September 12, 2017, Matt ramped up the rallying cries and solicited all hands on deck to ensure this Candidate’s boat stayed afloat and was positioned to speed off into the political landscape with a definitive win beneath his sails. Matt’s Candidacy not only stayed afloat, him and his team shifted into high gear, and sped ashore with a solid win that made a statement of a clear choice for voters.



Well, hard work, perseverance and teamwork paid off for Matt Newton and his loyal followers and volunteers. Congratulations on an astoundingly  victorious comeback to be the Democratic Nominee for Charlotte City Council District 5 seat.
