Citizens Are Smart
ExpressYourselfBlog caught up with the Charlotte Mayoral Candidate Vi Lyles at the Democratic Mayoral Debate kick-Off event held Saturday, April 22, 2017, and ask if there was anything she wished to say to the Citizens of Charlotte. Mayor Pro-Tem, Vi Lyles speaks about Citizens by prefacing, she hopes people will come out to hear the Candidates.
Lyles knows Citizens are smart, and she is counting on the fact that they are paying attention. A fact that might elude some Candidates to their detriment. Loose promises in a campaign will no longer cut it. Citizens are demanding more, and Lyles seems to recognize that fact,”They listen to what we say. They fact check us. They look to say, have you really done what you sad you did.”
Vi Lyles campaign platform is about ‘Trust’, so one could conclude this Citizen focus for truth will work in her favor in the end.
