National School Walk Out
Saturday May 19, 2018 the student-led movement ‘National School Walk Out’ is calling for people to come together for the next chapter to ‘Envision a future free from gun violence’. The group is asking chapters of the movement across the country to meet and discuss the following:
- The impact gun violence is having in their community
- Brainstorm and identify issues the student-led movement should address
In light of the tragic school shooting that occurred at a Texas High School on this day, that took the lives of yet more innocent students, the focus on next steps for the movement is very timely. This is an opportunity for parents, and specifically students to get involved in a collaborative effort to address, and hopefully curtail or end these types of violent acts against our nations children. It will take an act of congress to support any citizen solutions derived from these discussions.
Visit the ‘National School Walk Out‘ website for details on ways to sign up and participate.
