The 2018 Elections Are Crucial
While there are many reasons why the 2018 Elections are crucial for Citizens and the Country, and why voting is more important than ever, I’ll focus on the important few.
Voting in the 2018 Elections is a big deal because it falls in an Election year where each state is voting for the all important Congressional seats that currently has a Republican Supermajority, meaning they are in power and can call all the shots as it were, as a single party, requiring little to no Democratic Party member consensus. This conundrum with any party majority does not represent the county and its Citizens as a whole; and that’s problematic for a Democracy.
Power Of The Voter
During this 2018 Election period voters will elect one-third of all U.S. Senators and all 435 members of the U.S. House of Representatives that make up Congress. Depending on your state, it may also include Gubernatorial (Governor) and Mayoral (Mayor) races. The Midterm Congressional, State and local Elections, duties of these offices, and chosen Candidates are the most significant as they determine policies that have a direct impact on local government with potential to profoundly affect the very livelihood of everyday people. If ever there were a time to get out and vote, this Election is it.
